it turns out, the cover for it is what holds it tight to to roof. apparently, the cover expands the clips… idk. the replacement visor (i tried 3) were so STIFF that moving the visor ripped it right out of the roof. i could not figure out WHAT IS THE SECRET, or are they all defective. went to the dealer today. boom, snug and tight - yes visor was very stiff. i thought for sure they could not do it. mechanic told me even he had ask chief mechanic. so, if you tun into that bit of trouble, the secret is the outer cover, THAT cover is what holds it in the roof securely, so you can actually use the visor. cost me $57. to find that out.

i wonder if this reason I hot air have coming out for Chevrolet Cavalier - its old, but i never took off any panels- but i guess i can check to see if there a mission nut or loose cable pulling nothing

i replaced mine, too. however, i tried 3 of them. you cannot flip or even more these replacements without them coming right out of the roof. the cheap clips, even just like original, will not hold unless you don’t move it. but, since these clips are the same as the original visor, I think the problem is is that all of the ones I bought and I bought and sent back three of them before I kept the fourth one which was just like the other three - the problem is they’re so stiff that they rip it right out of the roof. please show you flipping yours toward the windshield a few times.

Get yourself a nice light you can strap around your head....I'd say get the belt tool but I managed without it. Almost half way by feel. My arms are just now healing up from stuffing them behind the motor. It was a bitch. The main thing is if I could have seen better it might had gone better. Still a bitch tho. The tensioner pulley was a bastard. You'd do better with a long breaker bar I think. Good luck y'all

You can take the 13mm bolts that hold the cable on without taking the cables off. Just need a somewhat skinny 13mm open ended wrench. Less work. Great video!

But what happens if you remove the bad actuator but don't replace it?

"Let me turn on the switch first" - what does that mean? Is their a remote control or something to turn these on? I guess, how do they come on? Is their an AUX switch inside the bronco you flip? Do they automatically come on when headlights go on? Looks very sharp BTW. Nice video!

Excellent video. I knew that was my Expedition's problem, but this video short cut my work by more than 2x. From the time I watched the video to the point when the problem was solved took about 75 minutes including 40 mins round trip to pick up the part and about 15 minutes to interact with the Parts department in buying the part. Incidentally, because you showed the part number so clearly, it prevented me from getting the wrong part; the dealership handed me the wrong part and I cross checked it and had them get the right one. Thank you!
